Mr. Patton is a 1990 graduate of the University of Detroit with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and a 1992 graduate of Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan with a M.S. degree in Civil Engineering, majoring in Structures. Mr. Patton has over 15 years of experience conducting residential and commercial structural inspections for a variety of clients around the Chicagoland area, as well as roof, moisture penetration, and facade inspections for many condominium and townhome associations. In addition, he has developed various types of repair drawings and specifications, as well as monitored the construction of those projects for various residential and commercial clients. He has also performed load testing of fall protection anchorages and prepared the required certification documents required by OSHA for numerous commercial clients in the Chicagoland area and in several other states. In addition, he has evaluated fire damaged structures and provided repair drawings and specifications for condominium and townhome associations. Prior to joining Waldman Engineering Consultants, Inc., Mr. Patton conducted facade inspections and fall protection anchorage load testing and certification for building owner’s compliance with the City of Chicago Facade Ordinance and OSHA Final Rule guidelines respectively. His background also includes structural design of warehouse buildings and project management of concrete restoration projects for a variety of commercial clients. As an engineer at Waldman Engineering Consultants, Mr. Patton will primarily focus his skills and experience in the single family and multi-family structural inspection areas as well as the load testing and certification of fall protection anchorages. Mr. Patton frequently attends numerous continuing education seminars and symposiums relating to the engineering and construction industry to remain abreast of technology issues and problem solving techniques.
